ice cream cone nails! :)

Hey everyone, I hope you are all having a great weekend and start to spring :)!

This blog post comes with some sad news. It is with a heavy heart that I said goodbye to two old friends this weekend. The service was beautiful as were the women it was for.  We will miss them dearly.

This weekend I also had some of my hear chopped off. It is very soar and kinda gross to look at. I have i think 3 stitches in there right now. I had extra scar tissue from a piercing I had a couple of years ago that got removed. The doctor said it is rare but sometimes it can grow back bigger than it was before so Im realllyyyy hoping that, that dosnt happen!

As per usual I did my weekly meal prep on Friday. I made steamed veggies with ground turkey. Simple, but I like it so it will get me through this week. As the weight loss stands right now I am down 15 pounds!! So I am very pleased with that so far, and hope to keep it going.

My back has been quite a bit better lately too, Im hoping when I go to the gym later I wont re injure it. Ill have to take ti easy, with my knee as well.

Hey everyone! How ya doing?

So at the end of the month of February I've lost 11 pounds! :) I am extremely happy I am losing pounds and doing it healthily :)

I am going to the gym about 4 times a week on average doing about 20-30inure work outs and doing my meal prep.

Although right now I am out of commission from the gym, my back is KILLING me. My lower back is soar and my upper back is hurting from trying to compensate for the lower back hurting. I also hurt my knee somehow .. it hurts to do my squats and put too much pressure on it.

I think I'm going to try a knee brace and get a massage And see if that helps .. and because it's covered under my medical :)

But OWWW the pain!!!! :(

meal prep

hey everyone!

my friend and i did our meal prep today :) first we went grocery shopping for our food for the week. i got some fat free yogurt and fruits for breakfast, some salmon, rice, sweet potato, spaghetti squash, chicken, turkey and lots of veggies!!

then we went to her place and cooked eveything together and put it in containers.

this is my first time doing meal preps, but i think its going to go well and it will help me lose weight :)

Grease Lightningggggggg

I got bored of the numbered post titles ahah..

Yesterday was Valentines Day, I hope everyone had a good one! I had a great one :) I went to the aquarium with my husband and our best couple friends lol :P

It was amazing to see all the animals and the jelly fish .. and touch a star fish, I wanted to take it home haha.

Then we went and did a little shopping downtown. I got a shirt that says "stay weird" on it from a store called Bang On. And I ordered some liquid lipsticks from LimeCrime cosmetics online. I can not wait to get those in!!!

We also went out for tacos last time .. I know they are not super healthy .. and probably eating them out is even more unhealthy but they are delicious and you need to splurge every once in a while! I am going to the gym tonight too so it is ok :P

Then my husband took me home and let me watch Harry Potter, which I have watched a million times! I love Harry Potter and am completely obsessed and he usually wont watch them with me anymore so that was very sweet of him :)

So tonight I am going to the gym like I said and then I have to cook my salmon again because I left it out over night by accident so now I have to cook ti right away. I only have one salmon recipe right now so if anyone has any other salmon ideas let me know! Or any healthy gluten free recipes that I should try please let me know!! :)

sixth post

I have been prrtty sick so I havnt been to the gym all week. But I went today and it felt great :)

Ive been trying to eat really well too. Ive had pasta with tomato sauce, spinich and shrimp. Also an avacado egg salad sabdwhich which was so much better than I thought it was going to be. And salmon witha creamy dill sauce, rice and brocoli. All of which was delicious. I got most of the ides from instagram and such but I changed them a bit lol if you want the recepies that I used just let me know! :)

Tomorrow is valentines day, my first one as a married lady. My husband gave me Nicki Minaj prefume and is takeing me to the aquarium with our friends so Im excited about that!

Fifth Post

Helllloooooooo I got a used lap top from my dad today so I can start making videos :)

Im not feeling very well right now .. soar throat and stomach is not pleased. So I will be making videos starting tomorrow if I feel up to it, if not then when I feel better!!

Third Post

So I posted my blog on instagraaaammmmmmm yesterday and someone requested I do a post about my diabetes and celiac disease.

So that's what this is going to be :)

Now one thing I do want to make clear is that everyone can react differently to things, just because this is how it happened for me, and these are the symptoms I experience does not mean that it is the same for everyone. I also wanna make sure that I am not letting people think that if they are experiencing something similar that I am/did that I am saying you have diabetes or celiac, always go to your doctors and get checked out with them :)

Oh and one more warning .. one of the symptoms I get may be gross to some people .. just letting you know!

So lets start at the beginning .. When I was 17 I went on a cruise with my family. We were going to Alaska, it was my yay you graduated high school gift. On the trip I would feel sick a lot. I was always dry heaving, ALWAYS thirsty for juice only and ALWAYS had to pee. Now here is one of the symptoms I got that may be uncomfortable for some .. I got a lot of vaginal bleeding. Now this one I am told is an unusual side effect but can happen to some people. Lucky me! I remember having to ask my step mom on the cruise for a pad because I didn't bring any aha. One day on the trip was particularly bad, I didn't want to eat anything. Just some fruit, and a lot of juice. We went out into one of the ports and i just kept dry heaving, I thought I going to throw up. We went back to the ship and spoke with the on board doctor. He took all my info and then he tested my blood sugar, he advised me that once we get back home I need to go to the hospital. We got home, and to the hospital I went. I had an IV in me giving me lots of fluids for about 6 or 7 hours, then I had about literally 20 viles of blood taken from me. I like in Canada, I know the numbers are different out there but my blood sugar level when I got to the hospital was 37.4 or something like that .. I know it was 37 but i don't remember what point ahah. Your blood sugar should be between 4-7 was what I was told. After that I had to go to the children hospital for a 3 day training group were they teach you about diabetes and what to do. Because I was 17 they were unsure weather I was type one or type two. At the beginning I was on insulin and I was put on metphormin (or however you spell it) which is a pill mostly type 2 diabetics use. I hated the training group, I was the oldest one there. I also got really frustrated because you have to do math when you are using insulin and I couldn't do it very well. When I was in the childrens hospital I was working with a 1:10 ratio for my insulin. 1 unit of insulin for every 10 carbs. Which wasn't too hard, then for the longest time I had a 1:8 ratio, now I am down to a 1:5. About 6 months or so after the childrens hospital I was taken off the metphorman, and just used insulin. I took I would say almost 2 years after we found out I had diabetes that they said I was officially type one. Most people think that type one is the one you get when you are a child and type 2 is the one you get when you are older, that may be true but thats not the only thing that defines it. As a type one diabetic it means that my pancreas has completely shut down, it does not work at all. If you are a type two, your pancreas works a little bit, squirting out insulin every once in a while, or atleast this is how I understood it.

I found out I had diabetes about 5 years ago and we are still trying to figure it out. Things are always changing with it, like I said before my ratio's have changed and are continuing to change. I have to go back to my specialist for more information about it,

Now for celiac disease, this one may have a symptom that may be gross to some haha! I would be sick and miss work a lot for this! Every time I ate something I got sick, I would poop .. a lot. aha. I would either poop or I would get a terrible pain in my stomach, one time it was so bad I started crying and I was hunched over all night with my husband .. who was my boyfriend at the time. I went to my doctor and she got me to go get a biopsy done. I was asleep for it but I was told they went down my throat not up the bum :P The test came back positive for celiac. Now I have to eat gluten free all day every day for the rest of my life. I wont lie it can be really hard, I like to eat out a lot (which I should try not to do so much anyways) but it is difficult to find things. Lucky for me eating gluten free has become something of a fashion statement now so its not too bad. I cant imagine what poeple had to go through who were celiac about 5 or 10 years ago!!! I dont know why everyone wants to eat gluten free .. it's not really healthy for you .. the gluten free food they make now has more fat in it, no fiber and is freaking expensive! I guess they want you to eat things that are naturally gluten free lol

But yes .. I have both those things and some other stuff that we can discuss later :)

Second Post

Hello :)

Yesterday I went to the gym twice in one day .. I don't think that was the brightest idea! lol

I'm pretty sure I pulled a muscle in my chest or something .. it hurts to breath and my legs are killing me!! ( wanna get that nice bootay ;) ) But it's ok, I will just do some light work outs for the nest couple of days.

I feel like I need to get better at my eating habits, if any one knows any good healthy gluten free recopies please comment and let me know!! I find it is so hard to cook and make sure its gluten free and healthy. I've also noticed that alot of gluten free food isn't very healthy for you .. so if you do know of some good stuff let me know too! :)

First Post :)

So this is my first post on my new blog :) 

This blog will be mostly about me and my life, the things I like and my weight loss journey!

I am hoping that if I put everything I am doing for my weight loss I will stay motivated to keep working out and hold me accountable for what I do. 

My friend and I just joined a 24 hour gym, which is nice because I work nights so I can go anytime of the day or night :) I had my free training session the other day and oh my god I could not walk after it was done. Planks are evil things! 

I am trying to lose weight because obviously the reason everyone is trying .. to look good. But also for health, I am a diabetic and I also have celiac disease as well. So losing some weight will help with diabetes mostly. 

Some exciting things happening to me this year, I got married in December!!! :) He is amazing and I love him so! We went on a week long honeymoon to Viva Las Vegas, which was so much fun!! Amazing food, I was really impressed!!! 

I also got my license so I can drive now, also bought a car which is wonderful. Im still getting used to driving alone, its a bit weird. 

Anyways .. I am not great at writing so I am hoping to get a lap top soon so I can do youtube videos, might be easier.
